Gen Museveni Shakes Up SFC, Appoints Brig.Gen Mugisha As New Commander

H.E the President and Commander in Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has transferred, posted and promoted a couple of general officers and other senior officers of the army.

In the latest ‘shake’ Museveni appointed Brig Gen.David Mugisha as the new commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC) replacing Brigadier Felix Busizoori who has been the SFC boss.

Brig.Gen Mugisha has been the deputy commander of the UPDF third division based in Moroto. You may also remember that before Moroto deployment, Mugisha was the deputy SFC commander, a position currently held by Brig Charity Bainababo.

In the same reshuffle, Museveni has shifted Col Herbert Nabimanya from the SFC to the UPDF Land Forces and sent Maj Gen Samuel Kawagga who has been the commander of the UPDF first Infantry Division in Kakiri in Wakiso district to Nairobi-Kenyan as the defence advisor.

Kawagga has been replaced by Brig Joseph Ssemwanga as the first division commander.

Meanwhile, Museveni has promoted Lt Col Allan Matsiko to Colonel and Maj Dancun Kafeero to Lieutenant Colonel.
