Gen. Salim Saleh’s Gal Dumps Hubby, Wants Court To Declare Him Mad So She Can Grab Property

By Spy Uganda

A bitter love cum property war is raging on between Esteri Mugulwa, daughter of Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh, and her ex-husband Eng. Ronald Ndizeye Sekaziga.

The couple wedded in 2009 and enjoyed the first few years of their marriage but after producing two children, they developed marital woes that saw them split bitterly in 2017.

However, at the helm of their bitter split is a vicious war for their matrimonial home and other properties they acquired during the time they were married.

Our Spies reveal that as a plot to take over the property that is worth billions of shillings, Esteri wants court to declare her husband insane and therefore mentally incapacitated to manage the property.

According to a notice by the Chief Magistrates Court in Nakawa, the case for psychiatric examination is to be heard on Friday at 11:00 Am.

The summons sent to Eng. Sekaziga reads in part thus; “Whereas the above-named complainant (Esteri Mugulwa) has filed a complaint on oath believing you to be a person of unsound mind upon the complaint the particulars of which are set out in the copy of the complaint attached.

You are hereby commanded to appear before this court in person on the 6th day of March 2020 at 11:00 Am in the fore afternoon for purposes of an inquiry…”

It should be noted that Mugulwa filed for divorce with her husband Sekaziga in 2017 at the High Court Family Division, seeking an order for maintenance and custody of their three children.

Consequently, Lady Justice Alexandra Nkonge Rugadya granted the divorce and ordered for joint custody of the children.

However, in a February 11, 2020 application through her lawyers of Kashillingi Rugaba Associates, Esteri asked the Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s court to commit Sekaziga to a professional psychiatric, in order to ascertain whether he is mentally sound or not.

“In the circumstances, we humbly seek that the matter be fixed and Your Worship proceeds to have the Respondent (Sekaziga) undergo a mental psychological evaluation by a professional,” she said in her petition.

“We had intimated to court that there was a renewed mediation effort. However, we regret to inform the court that mediation failed at the insistence of the respondent. Instead, our client (Mugurwa) has observed disturbing trends with the respondent’s visits to the children’s school with strangers,” a petition from her lawyers reads in part.

Although they are currently involved in a bitter split, Esteri and Sekaziga enjoyed passionate romance a few years back.

At the height of their love, they held a magnificent traditional wedding ceremony known as Kuhingira, which was attended by very many prominent Ugandans, among them president Yoweri Museveni.

While at the function, Museveni said he had endorsed his niece’s marriage. Museveni referred to Esteri as a special child to the family. “That is why she has the name of our late mother (Esteri Kokundeka). I also named her Mugurwa, after our great, great grandmother,” Museveni said then.

He added that “Esteri was born on January 1st 1985, the day Gen. Saleh, on my instructions, successfully attacked Kabamba for the third and last time. She is a very special child in our family. We treat her with a lot of love. When she told me that Sekaziga hailed from the Abachaba clan of Kisoro, I told her I knew Sekaziga (senior) and gave her my blessings.”

Museveni described his brother Saleh and wife Jovia Akandwanaho as good parents who love their children. He thereafter gave Esteri 50 cows as a start-up pack for her new home, plus other gifts.

However, by the time of filing this story, neither Esteri nor Sekaziga could be got for a comment about the matter, since they couldn’t be reached through their phone contacts.
