Although outgoing Speaker of Parliament, also Kamuli woman MP for 20 yrs, Rebecca Kadaga told the press at Hotel Africana that she’s being fought partly because she’s a woman, NRM’s Central Executive Committee and NRM caucus sitting at State House Entebbe has okayed Bukedea woman MP Anita Among to deputize Jacob Oulanyah in the next parliament the 1st parliament.
Kadaga was planning to among others raid on what she called gender equality to fight for sit tomorrow in the general elections for the speakership, although this might be a wrong lane now that behind a strong man Oulanya, there’s going to be a strong woman Anita Among. 
According to results from the NRM caucus meeting sitting at State House Entebbe, Anita garnered 168 votes against Tayebwa’s 149 while Robinah Rwakoojo polled only 10 votes.

Anita Among will on 24th, May 2021 battle it out with other candidates such as Theodore Ssekikuubo, Muhammad Nsereko, Dennis Oguzu Lee, Yusuf Nsibambi.
