The newly appointed minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development Frank Tumwebaze on Monday morning flew to Nairobi, Kenya, aboard Uganda Airlines, and heaped praises upon the national airliner.
Tumwebaze is in Kenya to attend a summit organised by the International Migration Organization, a body of the United Nations.
Kenya is the host country for the summit which is to be attended by delegates from East Africa and the Horn of Africa.
While commenting about his maiden flight aboard Uganda Airlines, minister Tumwebaze tweeted thus;”Excited to finally make my maiden flight on @UG_Airlines. Happy to see substantial numbers of fellow Ugandans on board. Let’s continue to fly the crane & make #BeautifulUganda proud!”
Later on while in Kenya with other delegates, he wrote thus; “Attending a regional ministerial forum on harmonisation of labour migration policies in E.& horn of Africa themed ” A united approach on safe, regular & humane labour Migration” & my strong pitch is on Portability of social security benefits within the region for migrant workers.”
