Kampala: Popular Ugandan jazz maestro held a massive concert at Serena Hotel a few days back, which is set to leave many jazz lovers with sweet memories for a long time.
The concert which was headlined by Beninese singer Angelique Kodjo, American Saxophonists Darren Rahn and Chris Lang, attracted hundreds of Kampala elites and socialites from all walks of life.
The concert, dubbed ‘Isaiah Katumwa’ kicked off at around 8:45PM and by 11:00PM revelers were already getting their money’s worth, because of the soothing performance from Angelique.
Darren, Katumwa and Lang put up a great show with their saxophones, as they got backed up by Guitarman Josh Mutebi, to make thrilling combination that couldn’t leave revelers seated.
Most of the revelers, who were high-end Ugandan and foreigners, filled Serena hotel with the glamour and glitz they exuded, right from the way they were dressed to the expensive perfumes and spiced accents.
