Grief: Former Bushenyi-Ishaka MP Gordon Arinda Succumbs To COVI-19

 It is a sad moment for people from Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality after the death of their former MP Arinda Gordon Cowboy.

Cowboy breathed his last at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital on Sunday where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit on Friday.

Before joining Parliament, Arinda served as a researcher at Makerere University where he left joining public service as a clerk in the Bushenyi district council.

He went on to serve as Assistant Chief Administrative Officer in charge of Ruhinda County. He was also appointed Kashenshero Town clerk where he retired from Public Service to join active politics.

Arinda defeated the Forum For Democratic Change-FDC strongman Oddo Tayebwa in 2016 to get into parliament.

He was after kicked out of parliament by Derrick Kabuura in the 2021 elections.

COVID-19 continues to slaughter thousands of Ugandans and as of yesterday, 3330 Ugandans had succumbed to the disease whereas 153,762 cumulative cases have been registered.
