“Dear distinguished guests, esteemed brothers and sisters,
Good afternoon!
It is both an honor and a privilege to stand before you today as we celebrate the union of our dear brother, Frank Kamuntu, and his beloved bride. This day is not just a celebration of love but also a testament to the unity of two families, two communities, and the shared interconnectedness that binds us as Africans.
For those who may not know me, my name is Andrew Irumba Katusabe. I am an investigative journalist from Uganda, working with *Spy Uganda* and *Detective-UG*. I am also the Founding Speaker and Chairman of the Pan-African Pyramid, a movement dedicated to the unification of Africa. We are one people, united by shared histories, cultures, and aspirations—transcending the borders imposed upon us.
Allow me to highlight the profound connections between Uganda and Rwanda, two nations deeply bound by blood and history. Over 80% of Rwandans have relatives in Uganda, and vice versa. Bringing this closer to home, His Excellency Paul Kagame, the President of this beautiful land, not only grew up in Uganda but also studied there. He played a pivotal role in Uganda’s 1986 liberation struggle before returning to lead Rwanda’s liberation in 1994.
As a proud son of Fort Portal in Tooro, Western Uganda, I feel an even deeper connection to this shared history. H.E. Paul Kagame spent part of his early life in Fort Portal, where he attended primary school. Rwanda’s current Chief of Defense Forces shares this history as well, with family ties extending to the same community. My own family has similarly been part of this shared journey. My uncle, after contributing to Uganda’s liberation struggle, crossed into Rwanda with President Kagame and built a life here, marrying a Rwandan woman.
This interconnectedness is not just historical—it is living proof of the deep bonds between our nations.
Frank Kamuntu’s Story
Today’s wedding further strengthens these bonds. Frank Kamuntu, born, raised, and working in Uganda, has chosen Rwanda as the place to celebrate this significant milestone. This decision serves as a clear reminder that we are one people, enriched by the diverse cultures and traditions that make us stronger.
Frank is more than just an employee to me—he is a brother and one of the most exceptional individuals I have had the honor of working with. As Chief Editor of *Spy Uganda and Detective-UG, he is a cornerstone of our mission to empower and inform our people. His qualities—honesty, resilience, and adaptability—set him apart as both a professional and a human being. These virtues will undoubtedly make him an incredible husband and life partner.
I still vividly remember the first day I met Frank at a lecture on Pan-Africanism. Among all the students, he stood out—eager to learn, to serve, and to make a difference. That day, I saw a young man full of potential, and I offered him his first job. Seven years later, I am proud to say that my faith in him was not misplaced.
As we celebrate this union, let us also celebrate the unity of Africa. Our shared history, struggles, and dreams bind us as one people. This wedding is a reminder of the Pan-African spirit—the idea that our strength lies in our unity. Let this occasion inspire us to embrace Pan-Africanism and to work together towards a united Africa—a continent that is strong, proud, and free.
To the Newlyweds
To Frank and his beautiful bride, as you embark on this journey of marriage, may your union be filled with love, harmony, and purpose. May your partnership serve as a beacon of the unity we aspire to achieve across Africa.
Ladies and gentlemen, let us raise our glasses to celebrate Frank, his bride, and the future they will build together. Congratulations to the happy couple, and long live the spirit of Pan-Africanism!Â
Thank you”
