Kampala: The National Unity Platform (NUP) principal dubbed Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has Wednesday finally been verified and cleared by the Electoral Commission to be nominated as a presidential candidate in the 2021 general elections.
The development has been confirmed by acting Electoral Commission spokesperson, Paul Bukenya, who noted that Kyagulanyi is among the 10 presidential aspirants whose signatures for their seconders have been been scrutinized and approved. The approved now will face-off with the incumbent President, Yoweri Museveni who was the first to be cleared.

Bukenya’s communication means that Kyagulanyi has joined a list of other presidential aspirants who have been verified and proved to be fit for the nomination including, Henry Tumukunde, Nancy Linda Nakalembe, Fred Mwesigye, Willy Mayambala, Joseph Kabuleta, John Kalumba and FDC’s Patrick Oboi Amuriat.
