Kampala: The National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches of Uganda (NFBPC),General Overseer, His Grace Archbishop Dr. Moses Odongo has commended President Museveni for his visionary leadership especially in fostering unity of East African Community (EAC).
The Archbishop made the comments in his Christmas and new year’s message to the nation noting that President Museveni has played a pivotal role in the expansion of the East African Community from six to now eight member states.
”In a special way, I salute His Excellency, the President for his leadership that has seen the expansion of the East African Community (EAC) from six to eight member states. In welcoming Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo into the EAC family, this move enhances regional integration and collaboration for our shared goals and aspirations. In the same spirit. We wish our brothers and sisters in the DRC, a peaceful and successful election as they go to the polls”. The Archbishop said while addressing the media at Serena Hotel In Kampala on Thursday.
In the same Christmas message, he further cautioned Ugandans to celebrate responsibly and observe traffic rules to avoid accidents.

”As you travel to different destinations to celebrate with your loved ones, I encourage you to observe traffic rules to avoid accidents. I thank security agencies for fostering peace and stability both in Uganda and across East Africa. I express gratitude to every Ugandan who has contributed tirelessly to the social – economic development of our nation. Your hard work and commitment to pay taxes has enabled our country to move forward,” he added.
Additionally, the Archbishop called upon the general public to participate in tree planting initiatives as one of the ways to address climate change vulnerability and saving the environment.
”In recognizing the urgency of addressing climate change, I urge everyone going back to their villages to actively participate in tree planting initiatives. Each tree planted during this festive season is a step towards a sustainable future. I encourage us to remain vigilant and be security conscious during this festive season” he emphasized.
