Horror As Two Police Officers Perish In Nasty Accident

The Uganda Police Force (UPF) has been engulfed with grief following the unfortunate death of two police officers who perished in a nasty accident that occurred in Kasese district on Thursday May 14, 2020.

The horrible incident, according to eyewitnesses, happened  after the vehicle the police officers were driving in, a pickup registration number , UP 7527, failed to brake and ended up ramming into another car that was  parked by the roadside in Hima town council..

The greater Bushenyi region police spokesperson Martial Tumusiime, confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Daniel Kule, a driver of Canine vehicle Up 7527 and Wilson Mbusa, a police officer attached to gender office.

Tumusiime said that two were returning from taking a juvenile to Fort Portal remand home and on their way back the driver lost control and rammed into a stationary vehicle, before the pickup overturned several times.

By the time of filing this story the bodies of the deceased had been taken by police to Kasese Health Centre IV for postmortem as investigations into what could have caused the accident continue.
