The office of the Inspector General of Government (IGG) has instituted an investigation against several police officers who were recruited in the 14thintake of 2015/2016 over fake academic documents.
According to a credible source in the office of IGG whom Thespy Uganda talked to, the 14thintake consisted of 1125 cadet officers Ugandan officers,100 cadet officers from foreign countries and over 6000 probation police constables for Uganda.
The source told TheSpy Uganda that the office of IGG had received complaints from different Education institutions citing forgery of Academic documents.
According to a report compiled by the Office of IGG, over five hundred cadet officers joined police with fake academic documents and that has caused the intake not to be confirmed.
The public service act states that the cadet officers are supposed to serve on probation for only six months but because there was a lot of forgery, the 14th intake is now two years still on probation.
According to the report issued by the office of the IGG, there shall not be any police recruitment till the affected officers are brought to book by the police management.
