Soroti: Yesterday it was rumoured that renowned events promoter and businessman Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi and Parliamentary Commissioner Solomon Silwany, dubbed the Bukooli Central Member of Parliament were thrown out of State Lodge in Soroti by Special Forces Command (SFC).

Reports alleged that Balaam and Silwany were thrown out after they allegedly attempted to illegally gain access to the Soroti State Lodge, a presidential residence he stays in whenever he visits countryside. These premises are 24/7 manned by SFC, an elite unit responsible for the security of the President of Uganda and other special operations.
However, in a statement seen by this website, Balaam has trashed the rumours saying he spent the whole of yesterday in Kumi district mobilizing for President Museveni, In fact, he said he was very busy converting NUP/People Power supporters to his most prefered candidate, Ssabalwanyi’ Gen.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. “I’m too busy for idle talk,” Balaam said on phone.
Balaam’s statement has been backed up with that of Presidential press secretary Don Wanyama who tweeted thus; Claims that Balaam was kicked out of Soroti State lodge are false, treat them as such. The immunized mutabani is busy in Eastern Uganda combing every nook and crevice for votes of mzee wakazi YK Museveni.”

“DISREGARD FAKE STORIES circulating on social media of Balaam being kicked out of state Lodge Soroti alongside Hon Solomon a Parliamentary commissioner. This is not true at all.
I have not been to State lodge Soroti I spent my entire day in Kumi district mobilizing for President Museveni, I even attended the last campaign meeting of our party chairman. And Hon.Solomon is in his constituency Bukolo central busy with his campaigns.
I know the rules of visiting State lodge or State House clearly well. The PPS is solely responsible for fixing and confirming appointments I can’t go there if am not on the PPS list. So the SFC officers are highly professional service men & women who can never harass anyone.
So dear friends let’s focus on hunting for NRM votes disregard the paid fake news aimed at diverting attention. The time now is for vote hunting not visiting Mzee to take tea. Thank you, everyone, who got concerned from the force, State House and the general public. The struggle is on we should not be diverted by negative fake online media agencies and the hate funders.
Don Wanyama, president’s press secretary had earlier in the morning before come out and rubbished the same, saying the workholic Balaam was infact combing Eastern districts soliciting votes for the president.
