Is Museveni Plotting Against Russia, America? Details Of His Meeting With Ukrainian Ambassador Emerge!

Kampala: President Yoweri Museveni on Friday held discussion with Andrii Pravednyk, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Uganda, who is based in Nairobi. The meeting took place on Friday, June 7, at State House, Entebbe.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Kenya oversees relations with Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi and the Union of Comoros Islands.

Sources at state house confirmed that President Museveni and Ambassador Pravednyk engaged in productive discussions on several issues including economic cooperation, trade relations, “security” among others.

However, other sources with in the corridors of Power claimed that Museveni’s meeting with Ukraine Ambassador primarily was about his (Museveni) close relations with Ukraine’s biggest enemy, Russia. Ukraine president, according to sources is ‘deeply’ concerned that where as Uganda is a sovereign country and free to support or not to support any one in times of need, Uganda’s close ties with Russia of recent is getting more stronger and that of Ukraine becoming more ‘lukewarm”, hence the need for the bilateral engagements with the Kampala Administration.

”I had a meeting with His Excellency Andrii Pravednyk, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Uganda, at State House, Entebbe. He briefed me on the current situation in Ukraine, and we discussed matters of mutual interest. I thank him for coming” President Confirmed.

The meeting was also attended by the minister of Foreign Affairs, Gen. Jeje Odong among other officials.
