Kampala: As the 2021 general election looms nearer, several musicians are exhibiting their ambitions to join politics.
Information reaching us this afternoon indicates that singing brothers Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone and Pius Mayanja alias Pallaso have decided to officially join politics by subscribing to the Democratic Party. Spies have learnt that Chameleone, Pallaso and others were officially initiated into Democratic Party doctrine and circles on Thursday during an ‘initiation ceremony’ that was held the DP offices in Kampala. Shortly after being welcomed into the opposition political party which is headed by Norbert Mao, DP wrote on their Facebook Timeline thus;
“Joseph Mayanja aka Dr. Jose Chameleone and his brother Pius Mayanja aka Palaso have officially joined the Democratic Party. Jose Chameleone coming for Kampala Lord Mayor then Palaso MP Kawempe South.” It now remains time to tell whether Chameleone will oust incumbent Kampala Lord Mayor Elias Lukwago and if Pallaso will topple Mubarak Munyagwa from the Kawempe South MP Seat
