Police in Kampala Metropolitan have started investigations into mysterious circumstances where the driver of a high Court Judge was gunned down.
Ismail Mayiga a driver to civil division judge justice Musa Ssekaana was shot by a female police officer,one Daisy Nagasha while guarding the residence of the judge in Bukasa, Muyenga a leafy Kampala suburb.
According to police Spokesperson Emilian Kayima, the incident happened on Tuesday morning at 7.Am when Nagasha opened fire and shot Mayiga in the stomach.
“We arrested Nagasha who has recorded a statement at Kabalagala police station,but she has told the investigators that she accidentally shot Mayiga “he said.
Emilian added that Mayiga died on the way to Mulago Referral Hospital for medical attention.
The deceased’s body has been taken to city mortuary for post-mortem report.
Kayima said that police was going to investigate the matter until to logical conclusion.
