Just In: 2nd Fire Breaks Out At Makerere University After President Museveni’s Address

Kampala: The other Ivory Tower structure that initially had not been affected by last night’s fire outbreak, is now in flames-TheSpy Uganda exclusively reports.

The currently burning structure houses the council room which shares the same floor with the Vice Chancellor’s office and this incident comes after Police brigade had left the scene.

The bad news follows that of last night when University’s main building, the Ivory tower lost almost half roof into ash.

Cause of inferno yet to be known, though police’s fire brigade arrived in time-on-site fighting to save the little remains they could.

The fire brigade and everyone else tried their best, but the fire was heavy and sprouting from the right side of the Building.

“The fire flames are heavy coming through the right side of the roof which has now sunk in as we write this,” our reporter at the scene reported last night.

This second fire outbreak comes a few minutes after President Museveni’s address to the nation on COVID-19 where he allowed finalist students to resume their schools despite one of the biggest higher institution Makerere being in doubt to resume over fire outbreaks that have turned administrative offices into bins.

“Schools will re-open on October 15th for the candidate classes of P-7, S-4, S-6, finalists in tertiary colleges and finalists in universities,” said Museveni in today’s address.
