Just In: Bobi Wine’s Music Producer Dan Magic, Body Guard Kato Shot By Police In Kayunga

Kayunga: A Police officer  identified as ASP Kato, the head of security detail assigned to Bobi Wine by the EC has been rushed to hospital after being severely injured by rubber bullets during a scuffle with security operatives who are currently running battles with Kyagulanyi’s supporters in Kayunga disrict.

Afande Kato was injured along with music producer Sir Dan Magic and supporters of the presidential candidate in Kayunga on Tuesday as security fired bullets and teargas to disperse them.

“Many members of our campaign team have been seriously injured and are currently nursing wounds at Nazigo HC III in Kayunga after police beat up many of them.

Among those injured are producer Sir Dan Magic, who is bleeding from both the nose & ears and Afande Kato, who heads the Security detail that was given to Hon. Kyagulanyi by the EC,” the National Unity Platform (NUP) party posted on their official Facebook page on Tuesday. (https://hydeparkrecords.com)

”The police and military have attacked us yet again, shot and injured many of my team members and other Ugandans who gathered to wave to me in Kayunga. My friend and producer Dan Magic has been hit in the face! ASP Kato, a police officer attached to me has also been badly injured. Many comrades are gravely injured. Pray for us. Pray for Uganda. Further reports from the NUP camp indicate that teargas is being fired over Nazigo HC III in Kayunga district where members of their campaign team are currently admitted after sustaining serious injuries when we were attacked by police on their way to Jinja for Bobi Wine’s campaign meeting as scheduled adding that the team has been subsequently blocked from speaking to the people of Kayunga.
