Bugiri: Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat, has been rushed to Fast Line Medical Center in Bugiri in critical condition after being powdered with a yet to be identified chemical in his face by an officer identified as Abraham Asiimwe.

Previously, Amuriat had resorted to applying baby Powder to his face as a means to reduce irritation from tear gas and pepper spray however this didn’t work for him today as he could not stand the pain in the eyes caused by chemical sprayed to him.

The incident occurred after Amuriat was involved in a confrontation with police as he attempted to defy orders not to proceed to Tororo District for campaigns which is one of the 10 districts that was earmarked by the Electoral Commission (EC) as no go areas due to their surging numbers of COVID-19 cases.

However, Amuriat like his counterpart from National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate Hon Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine vowed to defy the directive and today he insisted he would proceed to Tororo. Below are some of the pictures captured at the scene!
