Just In: MoH Registers 1,735 Fresh Infections Hours After Announcing Over 1,500 New Cases

Uganda’s COVID-19 situation is running out of control after the Ministry of Health announcing that results tested on 10 June 2021 have confirmed 1,735 new cases something that has pushed the cumulative confirmed cases to 60,250.

The breakdown of the new cases are:

1,733 Contacts and Alerts: Kampala (1,117) Wakiso (171) Gulu (111) Mbarara (61) Luwero (46) Masaka (26) Kiryandongo (16) Tororo (16) Jinja (14) Busia (13) Mukono (11) Soroti (10) Kyegegwa (9) Buikwe (9) Butaleja (10) Bugiri (9) Sironko (7) Mpigi (6) Aber (6) Amuru (9) Arua (5) Bududa (5).

This comes after Ministry earlier today announced that results of COVID-19 tests done on 09 June 2021 confirmed 1,566 new cases which had shot the cumulative confirmed cases to 58,515.
