Kampala: The latest we are getting in regard to Masaka Killings is that Kawempe North MP Muhamad Ssegirinya and Hon. Allan Ssewanyana (MP Makindye West) have been remanded for 108 days over murder charges.

The legislators were arraigned before Masaka Chief Magistrates Court that charged them with four counts; 3 of murder and 1 of attempted murder.
This was after police CID summoned the duo for interrogation before Masaka Police on allegations of sponsoring Masaka killings.

”The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is investigating some murders that took place in Greater Masaka during the months of July and August 2021,” states the summons addressed to the duo.
”This serves as summons for you to appear at Masaka Police Station on Monday 6″ September 2021 at 1000 hours before D/SSP Moses Taremwa for a statement in respect to the said investigations,” summons added.
Ever since the tragedy started last month, over 30 people have been killed by still, unknown panga wielding goons. Last week Police said had arrested 15 suspects who were arraigned before court and remanded of the same.
