19 Teams have been confirmed for the Kabira country club football tournament that is slated to take place on March,31, 2019 at Kabira Country Club, a Kampala leafy suburb.
The draws were today Friday conducted at Kabira country club and 20 teams (one is yet to be confirmed) will participate in this year’s edition and they will play in four groups of 6 players each.
The six a side tournament is aimed at promoting fitness and close cooperation among corporate companies. Any company can participate in this tournament; however, licensed players are not eligible.
The winner of this year’s edition will take home a trophy, medals and 1million Uganda shillings while those in second and third position will take 500,000 and 300,000 Uganda shillings respectively.
Prozone are the defending champions having defeated Victoria University 1-0 in the finals last year 2018.
General Manager Kabira Country club, Mr Rakesh Hurrychurn told the press on Friday that this year’s edition is going to be more exciting. “Every year we are planning to make the tournament better, we have to make a landmark. The second edition is going to be more exciting and very organized compared to the inaugural tournament last year,” he said.
FUFA Marketing manager Mrs. Esther Musoke who was present at the launch highlighted on how glad she and the federation were to always work with Kabira. “Such football projects are always welcome because they help on growth of the game in the country, as we patterned with you, we shall always work together physically and technically to ensure tournament as a success”. Musoke promised.
She later invited Mr. Kintu Ivan the FUFA club licencing manager to draw the twenty teams in their respective groups with five teams in each group as seen below.

Mrs Musoke after drawing teams promised that Fixtures would be out shortly as per management and the winner shall take the trophy for a month and later bring it for the next competition.
