The Arch Bishop of Kampala Arch diocese Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga on Saturday ordained sixteen to priesthood and fourteen to Diaconate at Rubaga cathedral amidst excitement from the believers.

His grace, Dr. Lwanga urged the newly ordained priests to immense themselves wholly in serving God and fulfilling their promises to the Catholic Church. He said the new priests should take responsibility to bridge the gap and bring back souls to God.

“Work hard to show Christians the right path, preach what you believe, believe what you preach and follow what you preach,’’ he said.

His Grace said humility and obedience by the newly ordained priests and Deacons will be immense factors to successful service delivery to the church and Christians.

Meanwhile, His Grace revealed he was disappointed with the reported rampant ‘murders’ committed by women in form of Abortions, saying women are full of life so they should not take life. “If you don’t want children why do you engage in situations that bring about children,” said Dr Lwanga in amusement of the congregation.

Lwanga also lambasted at men who harass and mistreat wives which he said, hinders spiritual growth in the families.

Meanwhile, the Vocations Director, Rev. Father Konde pleaded with Christians to increase interest in supporting Seminarians both in spiritual and physical needs. He added that God’s call does not look at money, so some seminarians have to be given a financial hand and it is a responsibility of all believers.
