For the third consecutive year, Kampala Standard Nursery and Primary School-Kyanja has proven its excellence, once again ranking among the top-performing schools in Uganda following the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) results. This continued success cements the school’s position as a leader in academic achievement in the region.
In 2023, the school was proudly ranked as the 3rd best in Kampala, a remarkable feat that was celebrated by the Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA), with the school receiving a prestigious medal from the KCCA Executive Director. This recognition highlighted the school’s consistent commitment to delivering high-quality education and its outstanding performance in national exams.
Head Teacher Simon Mugaaju attributes the school’s stellar results to its holistic approach to education, which includes a balanced curriculum that goes beyond academics. The school places a strong emphasis on co-curricular activities, farming initiatives, and the innovative Young Engineers Program, all of which nurture well-rounded, creative, and academically strong students. By focusing on both intellectual and personal development, Kampala Standard ensures its students are well-equipped for the challenges ahead.
“The secret to our success lies in the balanced curriculum we offer. We make sure our pupils not only excel academically but also grow in other areas such as leadership, creativity, and physical well-being,” Head Teacher Mugaaju said. “We want our students to be well-prepared for life, not just exams.”
In addition to its outstanding academic performance, Kampala Standard is also known for its excellent support systems.
