Eyewitness Accounts & Arrest
Neighbor Aidah Ngene reported hearing screams for help around 8 p.m. but initially assumed Kadogo was disciplining his children. It wasn’t until nearly an hour later that she realized the cries came from her injured neighbor.
Local parish councilor Sunday Salveri revealed that Kadogo was intercepted the following morning as he attempted to flee. He was allegedly found in possession of a blood-stained panga. Salveri also noted that the suspect’s children had seen him sharpening the weapon earlier in the week and that the couple had a history of domestic disputes.
While in police custody, Kadogo reportedly expressed remorse and asked for forgiveness.
