The latest from Kibuli Muslim faction indicates that Sheikh Muhammad Galabuzi has been appointed as the new Supreme Mufti replacing Sheikh Siliman Kasule Ndirangwa who resigned from the same position mid this year.
The news has been confirmed by Dr. Muhammad Kiggundu-Director Communication and Research in the office of the Supreme Mufti of Uganda.
According to our sources, Sheikh Galabuzi will be sworn in this Friday alongside his two deputies Sheikh Ntanda and Sheikh Mahad Kakooza.
It should be recalled that Sheikh Siliman Kasule Ndirangwa who was appointed as supreme mufti on December, 16, 2015, replacing Shiek Zubairi Kayongo who died in April 2014, resigned under unclear reasons but sources have it that it was due to internal fights that he could not tolerate anymore.
