List: Gen Museveni Makes Fresh Promotions & Appointments In UPDF

H.E the President and Commander in Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has promoted and appointed Senior UPDF Officers.

This has been confirmed in a statement inked by UPDF spokesperson, Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye stating thus;

”The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs and UPDF fraternity congratulate the Senior Officers upon their well-deserved promotions and appointments.”

The officers appointed and promoted are;

1. Colonel Paul Muhanguzi who has been promoted to Brigadier General and appointed Second infantry Division – Second in Command.

2. Colonel Peter Akankunda has been promoted to Brigadier General and appointed First Infantry Division – Second in Command.

Last week the President also promoted 469 and confirmed 28 senior and junior officer ranks of the UPDF.
