Raphael Magyezi, the Member of Parliament for Igara County West constituency, in Bushenyi district, held a thanksgiving prayer ceremony over the weekend, to than God for being appointed minister of Local Government in the new cabinet reshuffle.
President Yoweri Museveni’s appointing Magyezi as minister has been regarded by many as a token of thanks for his efforts at tabling the proposal to lift the Presidential Age Limit, which was adopted by Parliament last year.
So, a result of celebrating the appointment, Magyezi held a thanksgiving party cum prayer at his ancestral home in Igara.
Our Spy reveals that Mary Karooro Okurut, who was also appointed minister in Charge of General Duties in Office of the Prime Minister, was the Chief celebrant at the function.
Karooro was filmed gently circling Magyezi’s head with her soft as she prayed for him and thanked God for blessings He had bestowed upon him through President Museveni.
Later after the prayer session Magyezi hosted his guests and supporters to a sumptuous feast which left everyone with a huge belly, because of the endlessly flowing snacks and drinks.
Shortly after the feast, Magyezi officially opened the dance session with his wife, Karooro and children.
The group started by grooving to dancehall star Big Trill’s ‘Party After Party’ hit as they circled around the house. Our Spy reveals that Magyezi, Karooro and his supporters partied all the weekend away and up now they are still in jubilation mood.
