His excellency president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Sunday September 15, 2019 celebrated his 75th birthday with a sumptuous cake that was served to him by First Lady Mama Janet Kataha Museveni.
The unique cake which had yellow flavours to Mark the National Resistance Movement (NRM) colour, was also shared by other members of the first family who were at the bash.
Meanwhile, President Museveni thanked Ugandans for the birthday wishes as he turned 75 years.
He wrote on Twitter thus “It has been a happy day spent at the farm in Kisozi, Gomba District, grazing my cattle. To everyone who wished me a happy 75th birthday; thank you, mwebale nnyo, apwoyo, eyalama, mwanyala naabi, mwebale Inho, mwebale muno, mwebare munonga, mwasinja.”
Museveni was born on 15th September 1944 to Muzeeyi Amos Kaguta and Esteeri Kokundeka
Several people who included Maj. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, ICT. Minister Frank Tunwebaze and others congratulated the President.
“Happy Birthday to our National Chairman and President of the Republic of Uganda. As he continues to lead our Great Nation to prosperity and social-economic transformation, we wish him long life and continued good health,” reads a message from the NRM Secretariat.
Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations is among the several government officials that wished the President a happy 75th birthday. “Happy Birthday to Mzee wa Kazi, Yoweri Museveni. May you have many more Afande Mzee,” he posted on twitter.
