Mayinja, Chameleone Among 200 Artistes Lined Up To Entertain M7 At Patriotism Katch Up Fete

Kampala: At least 200 musicians including opposition leaning singers Jose Chameleone and Ronald Mayinja, have been lined up to perform at a gig dubbed Patriotism Katch Up, during which President Yoweri Museveni, who is the chief guest will interact with youth from all over the country.

TheSpy Uganda has learnt that preparations for the fete are already in high gear at Kololo Independence grounds, where the event will be held tomorrow Saturday.

The Patriotism Katch Up is a social event that is being organized by events promoter Balaam Barugahara aka Ssabavulu at which Museveni will take time to address, interact and listen to youths’ challanges and grievances they’ve encountered for the last 35 years of NRM’s uninterupted rule.

Apart from Dr.Jose Chameleone and Ronald Mayinja of Golden band, other artistes who’ll perform include Bebe Cool, Phina Masanyalaze, Catherine Kusasira, to name but a few.

We have learnt that there will be lots of food, snacks and drinks, which shall be given out to those who will attend the fete for free.

Our Spy at the venue reveals that so far 9 cows have been slaughtered but their number is expected to increase.

“We have over 200 huge saucepans here sebo,the cooks are going to sleep here cooking for Muzei’s guests…(ofcourse Muzei is Ssabagabi you know that also Irumba…..),” Balaam said with his signature laughter.

He continued; “We have bought over 200 bags of rice, water 1000 cartons (Uzima water) and Fanta soda over 1000 cartons plus other items, all this for Muzei’s Bazukulu”.

The fete, expected to be attended in thousands of youth begins 8:00am and ends 8:00am the next day, meaning it is transday- transnight gig!
