The Ministry of Health has announced that a new case of confirmed Coronavirus infection has been registered on Easter Sunday, bringing the total number of cases in Uganda to 54.
The Ministry made this revelation on the official tweeter handle when they tweeted on Sunday night thus;
“One new case confirmed of COVID-19 out of the 169 samples tested today at @ UVRIug. The total number of confirmed cases stands at 54 in Uganda. (adarsus.com)
So far, 4 patients have recovered and been discharged from Entebbe Grade B Hospital on 11/04/2020 following recovery from COVID-19.”
Meanwhile President Yoweri Museveni is expected to chair a Cabinet meeting with the National COVID-19 Taskforce on Easter Monday, after which he will address the nation about Cabinet resolutions in regard to the COVID-19 lockdown, and whether to lift the quarantine or extend it for some more days.
The total lockdown announced by President Museveni two weeks ago elapses on Easter Monday and many members of the public have been wondering what the head of state will do next.
