Kampala: Uganda’s telecommunication giant MTN has announced the re-introduction of their double data promotion dubbed ‘MTN Dabolo’ this time bigger and better where customers will get double data for each daily bundle recharge, offering them 100% bonus for MBs to ensure more fun and time while surfing the internet.

This promotion has come at a time when the country’s economy is struggling financially as a result of COVID -19 pandemic and with many businesses shifting goal posts to digital marketing which requires a lot of data to keep online, with the new normal social distancing with less of physical interaction but rather online communication. Therefore this promotion will see a reduction on the burden of data as it guarantees instant bonuses upon recharge.
The promotional offer is available to customers who are using 4G SIM cards and MTN is offering a free upgrade to all customers that do not have a 4G SIM card with the free SIM swap available at all MTN shops countrywide.

MTN customers will once again enjoy 100% bonus on daily data bundles in the revamped MTN Dabolo 4G promotion, the promotion that commenced today will run for the next six weeks to give customers more value for their money.
The promotion that was first introduced in 2019, was meant to give back to MTN customers and became very popular among users leaving them yearning for more thus prompting its re-introduction this year with improvements to make the customer experience even better.
According to MTN Uganda’s Chief Marketing Officer, Somdev Sen, this new enhanced offer, customers will get double data every time they load daily bundles on their 4G SIM cards. For example, a customer who buys 15MBs at UGX 250/- gets 30MBs, one who loads 100MBs at UGX1,000/- gets 200MBs and those that load 1GB at UGX 5,000/- get 2GBs for the same price, both the purchased and bonus data are valid for 24 hours from the time of activation.
Somdev Sen revealed that the promotion has been designed not only to give customers more MBs but also a much better Internet browsing experience using 4G.

“Using 4G to browse the Internet guarantees a much faster experience. This means better connectivity, faster uploads and downloads of videos, faster access and sharing of content by users among other benefits.” Somdev added.
He added, “And, to enable more customers to access the benefits of both the promotion and the 4G experience, MTN Uganda is offering a free 4G SIM card upgrade to those customers using older SIM card types, We want our customers to enjoy the double MBs and wish them Dabolo fun on 4G.”
