The Police are investigating allegations that Iddi Mugenyi, the Director East African Muslim secondary school in Bwikya cell Mparo division in Hoima Municipality, has been  missing for days yet his whereabouts are unknown.

Family sources reveal that Mugenyi was kidnapped from his home in Kiganda cell in Kahoora division around 4am on August 15, 2019.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police spokesperson, said the kidnappers went to Mugenyi’s home and called him out, saying they had an emergency that they wanted him to help them with.

He however, said Mugenyi has never returned home since then.

According to Hakiza, Mugenyi left his phones at home, which had made it difficult for police to track his whereabouts.

Hakiza appealed to the public with information on Mugenyi’s whereabouts to avail it to police to help in their investigations.

However, Mugenyi’s kidnappers have not contacted his relatives to demand any ransom yet, although the police are doing everything possible to recover him.
