Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) will this Saturday hold its 25th graduation ceremony since its inception.
The university Academic Registrar Ms Martha Kyoshaba Twinamatsiko said a total of 964 students have been confirmed to graduate in different disciplines this year of which 587 are males while 377 are females.
These include; 11 PHD graduates, 126 Masters graduates, 6 post graduate in diploma holders, 27 diplomas and 794 undergraduates.
Kyoshaba said a total of 22 students will be acknowledged with convocation first class prizes.
The graduation is scheduled for this Saturday 27th 2018 at the Kihumuro Main Campus.
The university has a total of 4200 students now and has generated over 14,000 graduates since its inception.
“People outside there must know that in 1995 only 49 students graduated but now we are graduating over 900 students, an indication of great academic performance and increase in numbers based on facility and ability,” said the University publicist Dennis Lukaaya.
