Nauyo Residents Discover Man’s Body In Forest Reserve.

Residents of Nauyo town council in Mbale district walk up in shock this Friday after a body of a yet to be identified man was found dumped in Mbale Central Forest Reserve.

The body was first discovered by farmers who we disembarking from their gardens, and later alerted police who  picked the body.

An eye witness claim that he was killed as he was trying to break into a shop in Mukanga Trading Centre in Nauyo Town Council, about three kilometers from Mbale town.

Mr. Moses Masaba, a boda boda rider identified the body as a notorious thug in Mbale who has been using shortcuts to make his life easy.
“I know him, he was a thug and I suspect he was killed while stealing, but let police investigate the cause of his death,” he said.

A police officer at the scene who requested not to be named, identified the deceased as Abdullah Nagwere, a resident of Kachumbula village in Bukedea District.
“We recovered a national identity card, a master key and hammer at the scene,” he said.
It’s however, not clear whether the identity card belonged to the deceased or to one of the killers who dumped the body in the forest.
He said the body was taken to Mbale Municipal Council Mortuary for a post-mortem as investigations conrunue.
The Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, Mr Manshur Suwed, confirmed the incident.
