NBS TV Launches 6th Housing Baraza: Pushing For Affordable And Sustainable Housing Solutions In Uganda

Kampala; The much-anticipated 6th Edition of the NBS Housing Baraza has officially been launched, bringing together key players from Uganda’s housing, finance, and development sectors under the theme, “A Home for Everyone.”

Organized by NBS TV in partnership with Housing Finance Bank, Plascon, Soliton Telmec, National Housing, and Roofings, this year’s Baraza promises to spark innovative solutions to Uganda’s housing challenges from 26th to 28th November.

The Baraza focuses on critical topics such as housing affordability, eco-friendly practices, and public-private partnerships.

Speaking at the launch, Eugene Kavuuma, Head of Special Projects at Next Media, emphasized the urgency of these conversations.

“Housing does not only impact an individual’s social standing but also their economic stability. With Uganda expected to be heavily urbanized by 2050, we must have the right conversations now.”

Deputy Group CEO of Next Media, Joe Kigozi, highlighted NBS TV’s commitment to amplifying these important discussions.

“Our job is to create a platform for industry players and beneficiaries to share practical solutions. Affordable housing is a crucial aspect of the Sustainable Development Goals, and this year’s Baraza aims to turn dialogue into action.”

Key partners like Housing Finance Bank and Soliton Telmec shared their roles in enabling affordable housing. Housing Finance Bank’s Head of Marketing, Doreen Nyiramugisha, reiterated their commitment.

“As the leading housing finance institution, our purpose is to ensure Ugandans have access to housing.”

The 6th Edition of the Housing Baraza invites stakeholders to collaborate in creating sustainable housing solutions, ensuring that no Ugandan is left behind in the journey toward affordable, decent housing.
