Not Even COVID-19 Can Stop Education: Businessman Hamis Kiggundu Launches Online University

Kampala: In a bid to bypass COVID-19 effects that have since led some students to register dead years, city businessman Hamis Kiggundu popularly known as Ham has unveiled a new and online learning platform named, Hamz Campus that will see students acquiring online studies-another innovation against COVID-19 spread that comes with physical gatherings.

Hamz Campus, the new online learning platform available online at hamzcampus.com comes in handy to address challenges in the education sector that were occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Hamis Kiggundu, the proprietor of Hams Enterprises, the decision to establish this online portal is to ensure that no time is lost despite the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic which has stalled the education sector, for now, two years. He says rather than sit home, learners can now access over 5,000 practical courses and knowledge through the website.

“My intention is to equip the young people with practical soft skills, setting the pace of learning they deem best for themselves as well as choosing the course they personally want to study,” Hamis Kiggundu said

“Through the platform, individuals can take ownership and responsibility of their education, without any time constraints. The teaching model according to Kiggundu will be based on real everyday affairs. “Education based on reason and reality is the key to global prosperity.”

He further confirmed to this website that the portal is available to everyone with internet access across the world.

“No need to worry, tutors are handpicked from across the world and will be available 24/7,” said a team behind the development of the platform.

Hamz platform operates a number of subsidiaries through different web and mobile-based platforms ranging from; Education, Communication, Online Shopping, Online Payment, Video hosting, and Entertainment sectors.

The Hamz Campus comes just months after the youthful tycoon launched Hamz App, a social media sharing platform covering the social media waves in Uganda, and Africa at large.
