Rose Namayanja Nsereko, the treasurer of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), escaped death by a whisker a few days back, after some goons tried to burn her house down in Masooli Village in Kasangati town council in Wakiso district.
Sources from police reveal that a group of some people attemped to set Namayanja’s property ablaze twice, but on both occasions they did not trap Namayanja.

He said the second incident was recorded on Friday morning when fire started in the main house in the sitting room but was put off.
“The actual cause of the fire is still unknown but investigating officers have already embarked on the investigations adna arrested two suspects so far. We also believe that the arrested might have some information regarding to the incidents,” Oweisigire said.
However, Oweyesigire declined to reveal the suspects’ identities for fear of jeopardizing police investigations.
He however, said in the course of putting out the fire in the sitting room, another fire erupted from the quarters where the housemaid sleeps. Namayanja noted that the fire in the living room was spotted by her employees who helped to put it out despite the fact that it had destroyed several properties.
SpyUganda has learnt that Namayanja has since fled her home in Kasangati and decided to hibernate at some yet to be identified place of abode, after fearing that her enemies might be up to some sinister evil with intent to harm her.
