TURIN: European Champions Real Madrid have announced that Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has left the club to join Serie A champions Juventus.
It had been widely reported that CR7 wanted to leave Real Madrid after Portugal exited from the World Cup. Juventus swooped in and have reportedly offered €105 million for the 33-year-old star.
CR7 has been in Real Madrid for 9 long years and has won a plethora of trophies including 4 Champions League titles and 2 LaLiga titles.
Real Madrid expressed gratitude to CR7 in their official announcement and confirmed that they decided to allow him to leave following CR7’s request.H
He leaves as the top scorer in the history of Real Madrid with 451 goals in 438 games.
