Kampala: The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) has firmly dismissed baseless allegations of charging money for Iran scholarship scheme, a claim that has been making rounds on social media.
According to Public Relations Officer at ONC, Mr Kintu Moses, these accusations are baseless and are simply the work of misguided individuals who aim to tarnish the reputation of Hajjat Namyalo who heads the Kyambogo based offices.
“These are just misguided enemies fighting Hajjat Namyalo because she has done in a few years what they failed to do in 38 years,” Kintu said during an interview with our Chief Spy Mr Andrew Irumba on Monday afternoon.
According to Kintu, Hajjat Namyalo who is known for her dedicated service and remarkable leadership, has made significant strides in enhancing educational opportunities especially the Iran government’s offer that saw over 68 Ugandan students scoop tuition free scholarships left some mafias wagging tongues and devising means on how to tint a bad image on the successful exercise.
According to Kintu, the scholarship process which ONC handled remained transparent and was conducted with the highest integrity from the start up the time of travel where one of ONC staff members even accompanied the students to Iran to ensure their safety.
Mr Kintu further assured the public that the office will continue to prioritize the welfare and development of students, dismissing any false claims as mere distractions and encouraged the public to focus on the positive impacts made under Namyalo’s leadership and to disregard the unfounded attacks aimed at discrediting her significant contributions.
