Opposition Swept Away As Museveni Appoints Couple Of Members As RDCs & D/RDCs

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in a new tactic to shut the opposition party – National Unity Platform (NUP) has today appointed a couple of its members as RDCs, RCCs and Deputy RCCs in various districts countrywide.

Among those fished by Museveni from NUP include NUP’s coordinator Bunyoro region Angalia Kasigwa Godwin as RCC Fort Portal City. 

In the same vein, Museveni appointed Wilberforce Ahimbisibwe Ongom the Forum for Democratic Change Chairman for Rwampara district as deputy Resident city Commissioner for Mbarara city. He replaces Christopher Aine who now heads to Kiruhura district as the deputy RDC.

In a statement released March 23, 2022, Farouk Kirunda, the deputy press secretary to the president said the appointments take immediate effect.
