Kampala: Matters of striking intern doctors continue to escalate every day as they accuse the government of continuously ignoring their outcry.
Today, a section of these doctors was prompted to match to parliament to petition the speaker to intervene in their issues which police foiled and arrested 27 of them.
According to our sources at Mulago, these doctors kicked off their procession at Mulago guest house and they lied to the police that they were heading to the ministry of health for official duties.
Police says there are to be charged with holding unlawful processions that are most likely to spread COVID-19.

The medical interns went on strike on 6th Nov.21 demanding better salaries, compensation for the families of doctors who succumbed to COVID-19 while on duty, more personal protective equipment and other related supplies and the stocking of hospitals with all necessary drugs- issues at the same time affecting doctors who are on strike as well.
