On February 28, 2025, Lt. Patrick Kanyemera made an unforgettable mark on the world of literature and motivation with the official launch of his latest book, Become a Successful You, at Fairway Hotel, Kampala. The event was graced by prominent figures, including Hon. Alex Ruhunda, Pan-African Pyramid (PAP) Chairman and Speaker Andrew Irumba Katusabe, alongside senior officials from Uganda Prisons and the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), making it a momentous occasion for all attendees.
Lt. Patrick Kanyemera, a proud PAP member, is not only a man of military discipline but also a man with deep motivational insight. In his new book, Kanyemera successfully blends his career in the armed forces with his passion for empowering others. Become a Successful You stands as a testament to his commitment to transforming lives through leadership, self-discipline, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence. The book is more than just a guide to personal growth; it serves as a challenge for individuals to take action, persevere, and unlock their true potential.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Alex Ruhunda, who partially funded Kanyemera’s education, commended him for his tireless efforts in crafting such a transformative book.
“Therefore, my son Kanyemera, I want to encourage you that this book’s launch should be the beginning of a new chapter in your life. Don’t settle for less; we expect your next book soon,” said Ruhunda. He also proposed the idea of launching the book at Mountains of the Moon University to impact the young generation positively.
Andrew Irumba, Chairman of the Pan-African Pyramid (PAP), also praised Kanyemera’s book, revealing that his work has become a beacon of hope for those striving for success, not only in Uganda but across Africa and globally.
“Lt. Kanyemera’s membership in the Pan-African Pyramid further underscores his dedication to fostering a collective African spirit, igniting a wave of intellectual and personal growth that transcends borders,” said Irumba. He continued, “As an influential voice for change, Lt. Kanyemera is showing that success is not just a dream but a deliberate journey. His passion for leadership and motivation shines through in every page of his book, inspiring others to rise above mediocrity and achieve greatness. With his vision and the support of key figures in Uganda’s leadership, including Hon. Ruhunda and military leaders, Lt. Kanyemera’s impact on the personal development landscape is set to grow even further.”
In his brief remarks, Kanyemera expressed his heartfelt gratitude, thanking God for enabling him to reach this milestone. He acknowledged that the journey had been full of challenges but noted that due to the guidance and courage of his mentors and family, he was able to achieve this dream.
“Success is not an accident, but a deliberate journey of resilience and self-belief. I dedicate this book to anyone willing to put in the effort and rise above challenges to become their best self,” Kanyemera said.
