PAP X-Mas With Nakivale Refugees Project Heats Up As Britania Allied Ind. Donate Millions Worth Goodies To Refugees

As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Britania Allied Industries Ltd on Wednesday donated lots goodies towards the Pan-African Pyramid annual ‘X-Mas With Refugees’ project 2019.

The Ntinda based pioneer fresh fruit juice masters donated goodies that included 4500pkts (15ctns) of Glucose Biscuits and 360 bottles of splash Kachupa juice in Apple and Mango flavors.

The above donations,together with others from other sources will be distributed to refugees at Nakivale Refugee settlement camps on December 20, 2019 by a team of Pan-Africanists under their umbrella organization-The Pan-African Pyramid.

While handing over the donation to PAP team on behalf of the company’s Managing Director Vinay Dawda, the company’s General manager production-Foods Mr. Ajith Prasad revealed that it has always been a policy of the Company to support good community initiatives and that PAP’s X-Mas with refugees project is just among the many that the company supports. He also thanked the young people for driving such a good idea of living for others. “It’s very promising and positive gesture to see young people like you trying to care for others, that’s a virtue that is so lacking in many societies, we’re glad to associate with you the young Pan-Africanists,” Ajith noted.

Christine Karungi, a PAP member and Spy Uganda’s Marketing Manager, revealed that it was a joyful moment as they received the donation from the management and prayed that God rewards the Company abundantly for their generosity and for sharing with refugees as a way of promoting the spirit of Pan-Africanism.

Tina Tana, as commonly called by her close friends requested all companies and the general public to emulate Britania and also support PAP projects with the little they can.

“Britania has always been our mother-booster for all our activities and in a special way, on behalf of PAP and refugees in Uganda, I thank them with no limits, They’ve exhibited highest levels of Pan-Africanism spirit,” Tina observed.

PAP speaker Andrew Irumba Katusabe said the company’s generosity is the reason they recently celebrated their 5th anniversary,otherwise they would have closed doors long ago. “To be honest, Britania has been with us from the inception,now five years. I remember the very first person who embraced our idea and okayed support for the very first time was its former general manager Sales and Marketing K.R Sridharan. He was such a dynamic person who would read your idea in 1 minute and he gives you an honest answer,” he said.

Some of the previous PAP activities sponsored by Britania Allied Industries include the annual PAP Global Awards, PAP debates held every Friday at Fairway Hotel, where Britania supplies PAP guests with a lot of juice and biscuits, among others.

Britania (Splash) is a renowned company in the production of a wide range of products including Yo-Jus, a variety of biscuits, Sun-Sip juice, Top-Up tomato sauce among, Splash Kachupa that comes in flavors of mango, orange and Apple although others like pineapple, Passion, Fruit cocktail among others.

On December 20, 2019 the PAP team will transport all the collected relief items to Nakivale Refugees camp, a settlement located in Isingiro District, Southwestern Uganda, covering an Area of 185 km² with a population of over 61,000.

The PAP will deliver the donations to refugees, but also spend some good time with them helping to fetch water, play games, offer words of wisdom and encouragement, plus socializing with their young ones as a way of reminding them that we are one as Africans, but only divided by conflict, plus artificial and geographical boundaries.
