The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah has summoned the State Minister for ICT Aidah Nantaba to explain the circumstances of the alleged suspected attack on her life on Sunday that resulted to shooting of Ronald Ssebulime, whom police have now regretted for having killed in cold blood.
Oulanyah Wednesday said the summon was as a result of legislators condemning government’s delay in presenting an official statement on the floor of Parliament concerning the alleged attack on the minister.
On Sunday, while returning to Kampala from Ndeeba village in Kayunga, minister Nantaba  reportedly became suspicious of men who were allegedly trailing her on the motorbike and drove to Nagalama Police station which in response shot dead a one Ronald Ssebulime.
According to eye witnesses, Ssebulime did not resist arrest neither was he armed.
This has generated public debate with people questioning the source of orders that led to the shooting of the suspect that had already been handcuffed.
The fire spitting legislators led by Kasilo County MP Elijah Okupa and opposition whip Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda wondered why government had taken MPs and country for granted over the attack.
This forced Oulanyah, to summon Nantaba to give her version of the story.
Ssebulime was laid to rest today (wed.)at his ancestral home in Kibalinga Sub-county in Mubende district.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga Wednesday told the press that they have since discovered the version given by their police officers on ground in regard to the incident that led to the shooting of the deceased was completely in-accurate and have since arrested them.
