Manchester United star Paul Pogba is determined to join Real Madrid amid claims he will be offered the captaincy by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.   Pogba has emerged as a top Real Madrid transfer target ever since the World Cup winner flirted with a move to the Bernabeu in March, the 26-year-old said then: “Real Madrid are a dream club for all. “They are one of the greatest clubs in the world, now they have Zinedine Zidane as the coach and he is a dream for all kids and for all players, but right now I’m at Manchester United.” Pogba said recently.  He added “There’s a new coach there too and I’m playing. Later, nobody knows what the future will bring, but right now I’m at Manchester United.”

Solskjaer is reportedly prepared to offer Pogba the captaincy – or even the vice-captaincy in a bid to retain his star performer, but, despite that, The Times says that the World Cup winner is still keen to make the move. It is claimed that he would welcome the opportunity to work under Zinedine Zidane. Pogba was a huge fan of the Frenchman growing up, idolising his compatriot for his feats as a player, however, the times say it us unclear whether Real would fork out the funds required to make a deal happen. United value the midfielder at a huge £150million and with Real also preparing a £90m bid for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, Pogba may cost too much Solskjaer, meanwhile, admitted back in January that Pogba was ‘captain material’. “He’s a leader,” he said. “You see the personality. He loves playing football. He’s a larger-than-life character. When the performances come as well, that marries together as a good leader and you see what it meant to him winning the World Cup, “So for me, yes, he’s captain material. (Clonazepam) ” Pogba has been at United since returning from Juventus in 2016. Since then, the France international has won the EFL Cup and Europa League title.
