Police Arrest Man For Abducting 16 Pupils From School

Police in Bujuuko, Mpigi district on Tuesday arrested a man identified as Musa Lwanga, over allegations of abducting sixteen pupils from St.Peters Katulo primary school in Mpigi district.

The suspect’s arrest came after Peter Ndegeya,49, the head teacher of the school, reported a case of abduction of 16 school children between ages of 4-13 after he had picked the pupils from school.

Kampala Metropolitan Spokesperson Luke Owesigyire said that; “Upon getting the information a team of detectives swung in action commanded by the OC station Bujuuko and managed to intercept Lwanga Musa, as he drove the pupils in a motor vehicle registration UAU 260L. All the pupials were rescued and later reunited with their parents.”

He added that “It was later established that Lwanga allegedly picks up children from schools and along the way without the consent of the parents, later takes them to hospital for circumcision since he earns Shs50,000/= per pupil.”


The suspect is currently detained at Bujuuko Police station as investigations into the matter continue.
