Police Arrests Two Suspects Over Nansana & Nabweru Deadly Robberies

Kampala: Police has said that its officers in Nansana are actively investigating two incidents of aggravated robberies that happened yesterday at around 0540hrs in Nabwereu north I, Nabweru northward, Nansana division and Kazo-Muganzilwaza in Wakiso District.

According to Police, the first incident was reported by Baligye Ronald a student of Makerere who was allegedly attacked by four men wielding pangas that robbed him of phones and money.

The same assailants later moved to Muganzilwaza where they robbed and injured three people identified as Mukasa Sulaiman, his wife Nakabunye Esther and Wotaba Anasi who had all opened their houses for prayers and Daku.

”The trio sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment. The thugs also took money and phones from them,” says Police.

The responding team at the crime pursued and arrested two suspects who have been identified as Kizito Hatim and Sebowa Hakim all detained and Nabweru Police.

Officers also recovered 3 pangas behind a school which is a few meters from the crime scene and these are suspected to have been used in the attack. Police says they have been exhibited and will later be analyzed for evidence.

”The hunt is also on to arrest another suspect only identified as Haruna whom we suspected was among the group that made the robberies,” adds Police.
