Kampala: The situation at FDC’s Spokesperson also Kiira Municipality Legislator and Opposition Chief Whip, Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda’s home is worrying following the water tight military Police deployment, advance siege and cordoning off of his home.
Police also broke into and forced themselves inside the legislator’s compound.
This comes ahead of today’s Political Rally scheduled for 2pm at Kireka near Joker’s Hotel, in which both Opposition and NRM Legislators, who opposed the age limit bill, which is being challenged in Supreme Court by the same legislators are expected to visit Kira Municipality and plant a FREEDOM TREE in Semujju’s compound as a souvenir for this noble cause.
According to the chief organizer of today’s rally, Hon. Semujju Nganda, he wrote to IGP and DPC notifying them of the same and on receiving copy bears acknowledgement dated 12 November, 2018.
According to their lawyer Kiwanuka Abdallah, political rallies are not an abomination on the Ugandan soil, therefore, Nganda maintains his stance and according to the tentative program, various MPs are expected to grace the rally which the regime is hell bent on foiling.
