On Monday, the Police Spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kituuma Rusoke, convened a strategic meeting with all regional Public Relations Officers (PROs) at the police headquarters in Naguru. The gathering aimed to review the communication efforts of the Force and reinforce the critical role of effective public relations in fostering community trust.
During the meeting, ACP Kituuma commended the PROs for their dedication and hard work in enhancing the image of the Police Force within their respective regions. He noted that their efforts had significantly contributed to bridging the gap between the police and the public, promoting transparency and accountability.
He further encouraged the PROs to strengthen their communication strategies by embracing modern communication channels, particularly social media platforms. ACP Kituuma emphasized the need for timely, accurate information dissemination to keep the public informed and to counter misinformation effectively.
