Three editors of online newspapers have been summoned by Police to appear at its CID headquarters in Kibuli to record statements over BoU’s Ms.Justine Bagyenda and Dr.Louis Kasekende stories they’ve been running about them.
According to our sources at Kibuli, Bagyenda and Kasekende are the complainants though police hid their identities in their letters summoning the scribes.
“My friend, journalists are being haunted like they stole church money for writing the obvious, and we’re on pressure here,so what do you want me to do? You come and take your statement and go, we shall have done our part,” an officer spoke to one of indoja-U members,an organization that brings together online journalists.
The summoned include; John Njoroge (editor CEO Magazine), Bob Atwine (editor SpyReports) and Richard Wanambwa, the chief editor of Eagle online.
They’ve ordered to appear before the Media crime desk of the CID at Kibuli tomorrow Thursday at 10:00am without fail or risk being arrested.
Our sources say Ms. Bagyenda and Kasekende want to use police to stop journalists from writing about them in regard to their alleged involvement in the on going BoU saga that is now before parliament’s COSASE.
